First Time Mortgages & Re-mortgages.

Getting the key of your first home is one of the great moments in life and there are few things more exciting than buying the perfect property for your needs. Whether you are a first time buyer starting out on the property ladder, require more space for the family or are looking for an investment property to rent, it is likely you will need a mortgage to help you make your move.

Alternatively, you may be looking to capitalise on the growth in value of your property to help you with other projects. Re-mortgaging a property to provide money for a business, home improvements or perhaps debt consolidation which is now a very common occurrence.

The mortgage market is booming. The choice of mortgage lenders has multiplied as have the number of different mortgage types. There are now products to suit the needs of almost every borrower.

Finding the mortgage suitable for your circumstances can be a problem simply because of the increased choice. This section will try to help you come to an informed decision as to what is best for you needs.

When considering any mortgage finance you must understand that this is a significant financial commitment. Loans are often subject to checks in respect of your ability to repay the debt and the value of the premises that you wish to purchase.

THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE SECURING OTHER DEBTS AGAINST YOUR HOME. YOUR HOME MAY BE REPOSESSED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPAYMENTS ON YOUR MORTGAGE.

Local Information that you may find useful

The Geography & Transport - Worcestershire - Shropshire & Mid Wales

The region's transportation system has changed a lot over the last 200 years, the canals being overtaken by the faster railways, only themselves to be beaten by the more flexible motor vehicle.

Such a past however leaves an indelible mark, the Staffordshire and Worcester canal being one of the most noticeable. It's perhaps hard to believe that it was built back in 1766 and was a part of the Grand Cross plan for waterways connecting Hull, Liverpool and Bristol. However, canals can be upstaged by other canals, and this proved to be the case when the newer Worcester and Birmingham Canal opened in the early 1800's, trade on the Staffordshire and Worcester canal declining thereafter. Other canals also adorn the area, the Stourbridge and Shropshire Union canals to name but two.

The main method of transport now is of course the car, the area having three motorways running through or nearby, these being the M5, the M6 and the M54 spur that links Telford to the M6 just north of Birmingham. The A5 and A49 are the other two principle road routes in the area, the A49 linking towns like Ludlow and Shrewsbury together along a roughly north / south route.

The rail network should not be forgotten though, Telford alone being linked to the rest of the country by no less than 5 lines, trains running to Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Manchester, Chester, Telford, Cardiff, Aberystwyth, Crewe, Hereford and Wrexham.
